@Cromius When the Personal Accounts were first launched we paid %1 above best bid to Buy gold and 1% from best bid to Sell gold. They reduced both of those fee's by 50% all the way down to 0.5% for both Buying and Selling your gold.
If i remember correctly, with my personal account I only paid fees when buying gold and not when selling it and the fee I paid was only 0.5 above the best bid price.
If I'm correctly reading this I think we can assume its going to become a lot more expensive to hold gold here at Goldmoney.
Well that is an odd thing to disagree with. Cheesy.
Thanks for posting.
@solargold Unless BitGold has changed something you are not able to ship 1kg bars. 1kg bars are only available for pickup. I am sure this has to do with the significant value. The physical redemption page link shows the page missing right now and I am sure it has something to do with being updated for these new offerings that came about on Friday. At this point BitGold has not made a formal announcement in regards to these new coin and bullion offerings. However the physical redemption page used to say the redemption was $25 + shipping and insurance. So with that being said maybe the shipping rates appear high due to insurance coverage. Presume we have to wait and see when that page has been updated.
I understand there is some frustration over the reclaims of Free gold due to referral inactivity but I think it is a little over the top to want to delete your account over that. When looking at the alternatives one can see that all fiat currency is constantly devalued in a downward spiral. It doesn't matter what fiat currency you hold it will never outperform gold, never. For example purposes you can look at the USD (the Worlds strongest fiat money) from 1971 when Nixon dropped the Gold Standard till now gold has outperformed the USD by over 3000%! Who wants to hold worthless paper when the BitGold platform offers the ability to hold gold and use it like money with the prepaid card option? This platform has brought a Gold Standard back which ultimately is protecting your wealth in a store of value. I know there are cryptocurrency alternatives but with only 6 years of history on crypto I personally would rather be safe and hold gold that has actual intrinsic value and over 5000 years of history. Just some food for thought. Best Regards.
