Account number

I think this question is only concerning EU customers especially german customers:

Does anybody know what is meant by "account number" when adding a bank account to the holding? Because we only use the "IBAN" for bank transactions, which also needs to be filled. Is it the german "Kontonummer"?, and why is filling out this number even necessary?

Hi @Gregor. Yes, the account number is equal to the German "Kontonummer". Why it is necessary? I do not know (maybe because of some financial regulations in Canada).

Thanks for your fast answer @nie ! Did you already test withdrawing?

And as you are obviously german, which way is the cheapest in your opinion to fund your holding? I used to use Sofortüberweisung but I am not able to use it for months now. Currently I am using PayPal but they charge 2% fee and Sofortüberweisung did only charge 1%.

I have the credit card to withdraw money. I am using my American Exp. card and my bank reimburses me 0.5% back. 2.5% seems to be fair (less is of course always good).
